Turkish Passport Application by Obtaining Short Term Residence Permit
If you are planning to initiate your Turkish passport application, you need to be eligible for Turkish citizenship first. In this regard, you also need to apply for a short-term residency permit. Due to the laws and regulations, you must be in Turkey and hold a valid visa during your stay.
You can always apply to extend your existing visa during your stay. Extension applications can only be made by foreigners who visit the country with a valid visa. It is important to note that the applicant should still have a valid visa during the appointment day. Otherwise, you may have to leave the country and return with a valid visa.
