Can i travel to Turkey ?

Yes, you can travel to Turkey by meaning that Turkey has opened its doors to tourism. Foreigners who meet the criteria of Turkish Government’s regulations due to public safety can freely travel to Turkey.

Who can not travel to Turkey ?

Turkish government has not banned any country based on their citizenship but there are few countries based on the their departure point may have some restrictions.

From June 20, 2021, there is a ban on flight coming from Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nepal, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Most of other nationals can travel to Turkey visa free or those who who requires can get evisa online.

Special covid19 entry requirements in Turkey

Tourists coming from overseas must meet the following rules to protects public safety of Turkey.

Complete a “Traveler Entry Form” before arrival

All passengers coming from overseas must fill “Travel Entry Form ” at least 3-4 days before their arrival to Turkey. Kids under 6 are exemption.

The reason why they are asking travel entry form Turkey is to double check if they were in touch with someone got tested positive lately.

Visitors coming to Turkey must provide contact informations and address in Turkey.

Negative COVID-19 test requirement for Turkey

Passengers are required to show negative PCR test results to enter to Turkey. Or;

PCR test taken 72 hrs before their arrival to Turkey
Antigen test taken 48 hrs before their arrival to Turkey

Or simply vaccination certificate was given 14 days before their arrival. Another option is to show that you had covid19 positive in the last 6 months.

Passengers coming from UK, Egypt, Singapore, Iran are required to have PCR testing on the basis of sampling at arrival. If tested positive, they will be treated as Minister of Health is asked.

RULES FOR ENTERING TURKEY FROM HIGH-RISK COUNTRIES

Passengers who have already been in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka must show negative PCR test 72 hrs before their arrival and if tested negative, there is no quarantine for those people.

Passengers coming from UK, Iran, Singapore must provide negative PCR test on their arrival to Turkey to enter to Turkey.

Turkey quarantine rules

Passengers arriving from high risk countries or passengers who have been to high risk countries in the last 14 days must have the quarantine in Turkey:

Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka must be quarantined for 14 days, then test is required
Afghanistan and Pakistan must quarantined for 10 days, then test is required

Keep in mind that PCR test can be carried out randomly at the airport as well and if tested positive then all quarantine rules will be applied.

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ON ARRIVAL IN TURKEY

Arrival to Turkey, passengers and airplane crew will go with brief medical check such as temperature control and those who will not show any sign of covid 19 can continue to travel.

Passengers who tested positive for Covid19 will be treated the medical center that government provides or any private hospital passengers might choose to go with.
