Turkey has welcomed millions of people in 2017. According to Transport Ministry, the number of passengers passing through Turkish airports increased by 11% in 2017 compared to 2016/
Anadolu agency has also published a report that more than 193 million people have been served last year.
The travellers from outside of Turkey jumped by 17% and reached nearly 83.5 million passengers passed through Turkey.
When we look at the domestic flights, there is an increase of 7% during the same period.
Turkish airports served more than 1.5 million aircrafts, by meaning that 3.2% increase compared to last year.
Istanbul Ataturk International Airport still keep its name of busiest airport in Turkey and totally served to 460.777 airplanes in 2017 and with this more than 64 millions passenger been served.
