The Foreign Ministry stated, Turkey has lifted restrictions on international and domestic flights.
SunExpress, a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa last week restarted its international flights after a two-month hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The novel coronavirus pandemic impacted the entire tourism sectors across the world and Turkey issued pandemic-related "Safe Tourism Certificate" programs for the tourists. Turkey's main priority in the pandemic is to resume air traffic to all the countries.
In 2019 Turkey broke a record in tourism with 51.7 million tourists visiting the country, according to the Tourism Ministry data. Most of the tourists came from Russia followed by Germans and Bulgarians. Turkish Airlines, AnadoluJet, Pegasus, and SunExpress announced resumption of international flights, mostly into Europe and Middle East. On June 11, Turkey announced opening the majority of its international air, land, and sea borders. The border with Iran remains closed. The border with Syria remains closed.
We understand that Turkish Ministry of Health officials will screen travelers at airports and maritime ports, as well as some land crossings, using thermal cameras; and travelers with temperatures will be subject to public health requirements, which may include mandatory hospital stay and/or testing that results in hospital quarantine. To date, tourist travelers do not need any specific health documentation to enter/exit Turkey unless they are arriving for medical treatment.
Foreign passengers who test positive for COVID-19 on landing flights will be referred to a private hospital by the Ministry of Health – Border Health Unit, whereas Turkish passengers will be referred to a state hospital.

Basically most of the international flights will start operating from 1st July onwards. Some of the international flights would be postponed till 17th July.
- Bahrain will start operating flights to Turkey from 17th July.
- Egypt, Afghanistan and Pakistan will start operating flights to Turkey from 1st July.
- Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait will start operating flights to Turkey from 16th July.
- Lebanon and Qatar will start operating flights to Turkey from 2nd July.
- Morocco will start operating flights to Turkey from 15th July.
- Tunisia will start operating flights to Turkey from 5th July.
- UAE will start operating flights to Turkey from 3rd July.
- USA and UK will start operating flights to Turkey from 1st July.
