Intensive care patient numbers continue to drop in Turkey, recoveries surpass 44,000.
The health minister said on Wednesday the country, the number of recovery from the new coronavirus has exceeded 44,000 in Turkey and said the total number of cases that exceed one third.
On Twitter, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said that a total of 5,231 patients were discharged medically after they recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, and in a total of 44,022 patients were discharged.
Koca also confirmed that there were 89 additional deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 3,081, according to Ministry of Health data.
The total number of registered coronavirus cases increased to 117,589, as 2,936 others tested positive for the virus.
According to Koca, the number of intensive care patients continued to decrease.
According to the data, a total of 43,498 tests have been done for the virus in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 991,613.
After being orginated in China last December, COVID-19, a disease caused by coronavirus, has spread to at least 185 countries and regions worldwide. Europe and the USA are currently the most affected regions.
According to figures compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University, the pandemic killed more than 218,700 people, total infections exceeded 3.14 million, about 950,000 survived the disease.
